New film releases at the UK box office Friday, 7th June 2019 - X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Late Night, Last Summer and Gloria Bell

X-Men: Dark Phoenix
Last week saw Aladdin at the top of the UK box office, can any of this weeks new releases do enough to top the chart this weekend?

Late Night

X-Men: Dark Phoenix

First up at cinemas this week is X-Men: Dark Phoenix, a Sci-Fi movie from director Simon Kinberg who is directing for the first time.

It stars James Mcavoy who last starred in Glass and Michael Fassbender who last appeared in The Snowman.

Late Night

Next on the new release schedule is Late Night, this new Comedy movie stars Emma Thompson and Mindy Kaling.

The film is brought to us by 3 time director Nisha Ganatra who's last film was Cake.

Last Summer

Next up this week is Last Summer which is directed by Jon Jones and is a directorial debut.

It stars Noa Thomas and Gruffydd Weston.

Gloria Bell

Also this week there is Gloria Bell from director Sebastian Lelio who also directed A Fantastic Woman in 2018.

The film features Julianne Moore and John Turturro in starring roles.
