UK Box Office Weekend Report 21st - 23rd February 2020: Sonic sticks to the top with Dolittle climbing and The Call Of The Wild the top new film

Sonic the Hedgehog
Remaining at the top this week is is Sonic The Hedgehog as he is fast becoming the top video game adaptation while Dolittle goes back to number 2 dure to half term and Harrison Ford and his dog take The Call Of The Wild to number 4 as the top new film.

Sonic The Hedgehog

The Jeff Fowler directed movie remains at the top of the UK box office for a second weekend with a gross of £4.1 Million, thats only an 11% drop from last weekend.

The Jim Carey Starring movie has now taken £14.6 Million over 2 weeks of release.

It is currently the stars 5th highest grossing movie in the UK and will easily enter his top 3 top movies.

Dolittle

The kids are on holiday and if they didn't go to see Sonic they clearly went to see Dolittle which climbs to number 3 with £2 Million over the weekend.

The critically panned film which has clearly hit the spot with a younger audience has now taken £14.06 Million over 3 weeks of release.

Parasite

The South Korean Oscar winning movie falls to number 3 this week after a fantastic climb to 2 last week and still manages a weekend gross of £1.7 Million.

Three weeks in and the film has now taken £8.3 Million at the UK box office.

The Call Of The Wild

The Call Of The Wild

Harrison Ford keeps his feet firmly on the ground in this dog based nature film which is the top new film of the week and takes £1.4 Million on its debut.

Emma

The Jane Austen adaptation falls to number 5 this weekend with a take of £1.1 Million takings its total gross to £4.5 Million after 2 weeks of release.

Frozen II

Disneys smash hit sequel is this week the movie with the longerst run with 14 weeks and the movie with the highest total gross with £53.5 Million
