Spectre
Released a week after the UK release Spectre this week blew away the cobwebs built over the last few weeks in the US to record a $73 million opening.

A good as this may seem its down from the series best US opening of Skyfall which opened to $88 million.

Also giving a boost to the US box office is American staple Snoopy and Charlie Brown The Peanuts Movie which opens at 2 this week with $42 million.

Last weeks top film, The Martian, falls to 3rd this week and is still doing good business, it has now taken nearly $200 million after 6 weeks of play.

The Martian is also the top total grossing film on the US box office this week.

There are no other new film on the American box office this week.
